Nothing Phone (1)

The device that has been most anticipated over the last few months has to be the Nothing Phone (1). The phone includes certain market-first features and falls into the premium mid-range category. The Google Pixel 6a has been the month’s second-most anticipated gadget. The well-liked Nord 2 has a mid-refresh with the OnePlus Nord 2T. The phone features a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED panel that still retains a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC and comes in either 8GB RAM/128GB storage or the top-end 12GB RAM and 256GB storage option.

After much teasing, OPPO finally announced their Reno8 series in the country. The two models Reno8 and the Reno8 Pro carry the same design language but differ in the internals. The Reno8 has a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC and is available with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

On the other hand, the OPPO Reno8 Pro packs a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification. It is powered by the Dimensity 8100 SoC and is available with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

On the optics front, the Reno8 gets a triple camera setup on the rear with a main 50MP sensor which is coupled with a 2MP B/W and a 2MP macro sensor. Selfies on the phone are handled by a 32MP camera. The Reno8 Pro also has a triple camera setup with a main 50MP sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. It also gets the same 32MP sensor on the front as the vanilla model. The Pro also gets access to the MariSiliconX chip, OPPO’s in-house chip for imaging. Continuing their T1 lineup, Vivo launched the T1X, the company’s latest budget smartphone. It packs a 6.58-inch Full HD+ LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor paired with Adreno 610 GPU and comes with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
